Red Cabbage with Gammon
Ingredients
- 2 Medium Onions (Halved and Sliced)
- 2 Medium Apples (Peeled and Cubed)
- 100ml Red Wine
- 4oz Gammon (cut in strips)
- 4 tablespoons Castor Sugar
- 100ml Red Wine VInegar
- 4 Cloves
- 1 stick Cinnamon (snapped in half)
- 1 stalk Mace
- Small amount of black pepper
- pinch Salt
- knob Butter (on top of the ingredients)

Put all ingredients in a heatproof earthenware dish cover and put in the oven at 150C and cook for 3½ hours |
